VIB
was the first major product produced by CSI. It was initially written
because an acquaintance had an Ono-Sokki spectrum analyzer used for audio analysis of
operating machinery. We thought there would be a market for such a program. There was, but
it was very small. These state of the art, sophisticated machines were pricey and usually
owned by large organizations that could afford only one or two units each. Such
organizations usually had their in-house programmers cobble something up to talk to their
machines or else they did without. We didn't sell very many units.
I have to thank the folks at Ono-Sokki America for the loan of analyzers to use for testing. I would also like to thank Jerry Saville, field maintenance manager for Goulds Vertical Pumps for his help and patience. If you need an industrial strength pump, get a Goulds Pump. If you want the best analyzer in the known universe, buy an Ono-Sokki.
If anyone reading this page would be interested in such software, we could update it using Delphi for a Windows 95 solution if there was sufficient interest AND financing!
The program as described is still available. If interested send E-Mail. Licenses are priced at $100.00 each.
