About the CSI Technologies, Inc. Web Site

About The Images

Most of the images in the site were created by Dave Wachtel. The CSI "Object Ocean" picture is a raytraced image produced using TrueSpace 3 from Caligary.

The rotating CSI Tech logo was created in TS2/3, converted from AVI ray traced output to a GIF 89a file using  Alchemy Mindworks GIF Construction Set. Other animated graphics on this site have been created using these excellent tools as well.

If you have custom ray traced imagery to do for a web page or advertising campaign, feel free to contact me. Since adding TS3 and Ray Dream Studio to our arsenal, we now can do VRML as well.

Background textures and link "spheres" come from a variety of sources, except for the CSI "watermark" background images which were done in-house. in addition, some backgrounds are raytraced images and were designed and rendered using TS2 and TS3.

Mailbox1A.gif (28325 bytes)We have started to do some work using Ray Dream Studio version 5. The animated mailbox on the MemberView download page was created using this excellent tool as was the "three objects" animation. The output AVI files were then converted into GIF using JASC's Paint Shop Pro Animation Shop.

About The Site

The site was initially created using Netscape Navigator Gold. Soon after, development was switched to an early version of Microsoft Front Page. Currently we have upgraded to Front Page 98 and we are using it for new page creation and for maintaining the site.

If you like this site, we can create one for you or your organization.  We can do interactive content including forms and database applications providing that the Front Page extensions are installed on the target server.  Custom "applets" can be done in Dolphin Smalltalk or Java, and these would work without the Front Page extensions.

At this time, we do not set up accounts, arrange for domain names or do routine web site maintenance for customers. We can, however, evaluate ISP's according to your criteria and make a recommendation. Upgrades and changes to customer sites can be done on an "as necessary" basis.

Large complicated sites are probably beyond what we should tackle just now but if you want to publish a site similar to ours, we can put one together using your printed material, notes or suggestions. Right now we do not have the ability to do photo scanning in-house, but this capability will be added soon. (We can always job it out, probably for no additional charge).

CSI is just beginning to get into this area, so prices are still extremely reasonable!
